do the sa one have that?
The Japanese 8 port model ECU’s (Mec-0012) have very different timing and fuel curves below 4400Rpm to make use of the 8 port butterfly system running close to 13.1 AFR before the switch
do the sa one have that too?
No too both of those

I have taken my sx to fill the speedometer when I still had my stock engine.

We have 4 port heads.

Look I am not going to argue with you guys.
If you find it hard to believe then don’t accept it, if this rocks your world to its foundations then just ignore it and move on its not helping the thread much
A little bit harsh dont you think?

Pin 53 on the stock CA18DET ecu is the vehicle speed input from the Speedo to the ECU, anyone feel like cutting theirs to see if it makes a diff :P Also, factor in tyre sizes and stock speedo error, even 10% can put you at 250km/h indicated and you're only doing 230km/h.

What does the ECU do when the speed is reached? Spark cut, fuel cut? Has anyone experienced anything of the sorts at those speeds?

Looks like the bum fluff bunny gets upset quickly.......

I had stock size tires on back then as well, and my rpm was reading just below red line and I was just over 240.

I would rather test something the practical way than totally rely on theory.

I think this is once again one of those "if its on the internet it is the truth" situations

That is for the speedo, but it seems there is a wire to the ECU from the speedo, the pinouts I've seen show it as pin 53.

As far as I know there is no wire in that pinout, I may be wrong.

If you can confirm then it makes our case, if the ECU has no way of telling speed then there is no way for it to know when to limit it.
