So Sokar, you telling me that the tps of the sr20 tb, wont do the job for a direct replacement. Is the tps of the sr20 so much different then? To high voltages or what you think? I mean this extension of the shaft sounds like a messy not lekka job.As I'm such a helpful guy here is a nice alternative, the SR20DE throttle body will also bolt right on, you just need to extend a shaft for the TPS, a mate did this with a pipe and some pratley steel, this gives a nice compromise between the 2,

OK I dont get why you want to increase the lift. The duration is the important factor. The longer the cam opens the more A/F can go into the chambers the more power you will gain...right.
So dont worry about the lift. Anyway some tuners told me the CA18DET cams are good, you cam get alot more power out of them if you just get adjustable cam gears!

HAHA, longer duration will make the motor more efficent higher up the rev range, more lift will make the motor more efficent throughout the rev range.OK I dont get why you want to increase the lift. The duration is the important factor
Lift is VERY important, if it wasnt you would be able to by higher lift cams no would you.
You can increase the lift on a cam by regrinding it, but you better trust your machinist.

Excuse my ignorance but how can you increase the lift on a cam by regrinding it?
The only way to incrase lift is for the cam lobe to physically have more metal on it to stand up higher than the stock cam.
The regrinding can only alter the duration AFAIK.
@hancoB. Turbo cars don't like overlap, so the rule of thumb is that you don't want massive duration. Lift is prefered.
Mario I say go 270 with 11mm lift. (Oh yeah that's total lift)

I 270 degree cam will be far to much, unless you want to make power from 5500 - 9000.I would say 264degrees will be more than enough if you after top end power. 256 would be a good compromise. Also if you going with cams like these dont forget cam gears hey.

What I meant was how can you get more lift from a cam by just grinding it? The height is already set. Thats how I understand it.
And the higher the peak power the more k@k your drive is going to be. I think more power through the rev range is better. Imagine the lag your gonna get from driving a car with high lift cams...to pull away you need to hit 4500rpms...
