if you go cheap and nasty - you will make that car a danger on the roads, thats not just a danger to you, but also a danger to others...

its not a very responsible thing to do!

Is no one reading my posts??

Get your one refilled!!! Take it to someone that repairs engine mounts or casts polyurethane and they will sort it out, like R150 or so.

Jip Gary I did.

Thanx for the info.

You are the only one talking sense here. Everyone doesn't have loads of money to spend everytime something small breaks.

Thanx man!

Oh no you didnt!

Shame, lets all have pity on Hanco, the poorest SX owner...

You bought the SX, its not a golf, its not a opel its an expensive 15 year old nissan with non-existant part support in this country, no-one had a gun to your head!

We have given you the best value for money alternative and you thow it back in OUR faces because YOU cant afford it? So who's wrong? Us or you?

Again I direct you to your initial question:
can anyone tell me where I can get those bushes from?
You seem to have a habit of forgetting what you asked for

Ok you are a BMW owner...uhm uhm uhm!!!

I did not throw it back in you faces! The bush kit will most prolly be the best thing to do yes you are right but to buy the whole kit and only using half of it is a waste!!! I am waiting for front adjustable suspension parts and rear. the only bushes that I am going to use the would be the engine and gearbox mounts and maybe one or two other! So the two I need is the tension rod BUSHES!!!

But sure I like your humor tho!!! :? :?

I dunno what you mean by that. I actually bought the BMW as it was cheaper than my SX, to maintain, to fix, to mod!

I decided to one day own an SX again when I could afford all the baggage that comes with it...

I find it funny that you're waiting for adjustible suspension parts, but you cant afford basic bushes, what bushes are you going to use in these adjustibles, the stock ones you pull out?

You want a quick fix? Go to Midas and get 2 rolls of insulation tape wrap the tape tight around the broken bush quite a few times and make it fit lekker snug...

hell hanco - sokar owned an sx way before you did???

the man knows way more than most about these cars.

his advice is sound.

as for you probably only using the engine and gearbox mounts??? did you even look at the pic i posted of what is included in the kit??? there are NO engine and gearbox mounts in the kit. its purely a supsension kit, with the exception of the steering rack bushes!

if your car is that bad, and you dont want to spend lots of money to fix it while you wait for your adjustable bushes, then you should park the car until then! it should not be driven.

sokar - the adjustable suspension arms that you get, usually come with rose joints (spherical bearings). so he wont need those bushes...

BUT - out of the kit of about 40 bushes - he will only not use about 8 - 10 of them.

so his rear spindles will still be sloppy. his sway bar mountings (front and rear) will still be sloppy. his steering rack will still be sloppy.

in other words - his car will still be sloppy - but his adjustable arms will be very hard - the rose joints have no play at all. its going to be an interesting car to drive.

hanco - take it easy on those mountains booitjie!!! we'd hate to hear about you going over the ledge on chapmans peak. LOL that reminds of that series of adverts - if you were driving a mercedes benz at least you would be safe, BUT if you were driving a BMW (like sokar) you would make it around the corner!!!
