Leaded/LRP or unLeaded fuel??

Post by Gary57 »

Which do you guys run?? The sx's in UK all have catalytic converters so all run unleaded, surely we can too. I want to run unleaded because I want to fit a wideband O2 sensor and leaded/lead replacemant fuel contaminate the sensors.

You can actually run both...

When I bought the car I wasn't sure what fuel to take so I used leaded for a year... till a fellow SX driver assured me its safe to use unleaded...

I try to stick to 95ron unleaded if I can find it... you guys at the coast try 98ron

You can go unleaded 95 no problem. Me sx running on 95 since unleaded available. No problem with dyno tune etc. The sx can handle unleaded with no problem. Also confirmed by MAUS performance who tuned my sx.

Initially it was only some Shell Garages providing 95. Lately easy to get 95 from Engen,Shell,Sasol (some garages heffty pricing) and BP. Caltex, Total still not available as far as I know.
