S14 200sx Build Thread

Post by Gizmo »

Hey Guys

This car was brought me by Qwert to restore and get some work done on her after standing for 4-5 years.. Arrived on a flatbed, definetly had 5 years worth of dust on her

I had to a service
So fresh oils and fluids all round, new water pump, new radiator, and some other goods. The perfect power xms 3 failed and the fuel tank needs to be looked at, not taking fluid..

But I ended up purchasing her from Qwerty shortly after :)

She is currently at home in pieces

Shot bud

She is parked and in some pieces currentl, planning to do the following mods

ABS Pump delete
New brake lines
New clutch line
Perfect Power removal
Shinobi Install
VW Coilpacks again
Fit Flex Fuel Sensor

Strip and clean interior and treat leather, wash exterior and detail...

Will pull and repaint the bay after the move, just prepping for when that should happen...

Also looking for S14 radio surround if anyone has one forsale :)

Had to remove oil filter for better access to get the oil temp and pressure units installed..

Defi ZD Gauge wiring sorted, finished half the brake lines last night, will complete the rest tonight..

Praying I get my Shinobi system tomorrow as I am on leave from wed-mon so would like to get as much done as possible...

Which coil packs are those and do they plug into the standard s14 harness?

These are VW/Audi 1.8T Coilpacks, they require a positive signal to trigger and new wiring harness to be made... Will not work on the OEM ecu

Updates

So water-meth relocation is done, and OEM washer bottle tapped and fitting installed.. Still need to source a check valve.. This will be controlled by the shinobi :)

Image

Redid the fuel lines... Flex fuel sensor should be arriving in the week then that's all done. Also need to source a few more hose finishing fittings..

Image

Image

Viscous was removed and dual 12" fans were installed.. Same as I had on my S13

Image

Most of the engine bay wiring is completed for the shinobi, tested the outputs and all working

Image

Still left to do in engine bay

Remove Aircon Pump + Bracket & Belt
Bleed brakes
Refit intake manifold
Refit Turbo Intake
Install Flex fuel sensor
New vacuum hosing

Also put the dash back now that most of the wiring is done  Started cleaning that shit..

Cluster stripped cleaned and front plastic polished..

Will start with the seats and carpet hopefully next week if/when she runs..

Here is a 50/50 of the Dash being cleaned... Right side clean, left dirty

More updates in the week
