I am sure many of you dont know the CA18DE and DET motors are basicly the same. Main difference inside is the High comp pistions with no oil jets.
Did a budget rebuild for a youngest that i help out with his sx. All parts from autozone so thought i would share. I wouldnt recomend for a performance build, stockish should work fine.
Mega gasket kit CA18DE R500 - HG was shit rest was fine.
Payne Head Gasket CA18DE R600 - very close to the oem one
AE Big Ends CA18DE R290
Power Torque Mains CA18DE R450
Hastings Rings CA18DE R290
Head Engeneering R700 - fit new seals and meassure valves and check straightness
Misc R500
Already done water pump, cam belt and tensioners last year.
Total of R3330
Nearly 2000kms after rebuild and still going strong. Not using a drop of oil. Boosting 0.85 bar

Awesome, Can you do one for the RB26 lmao. off topic and sorry for that but can you inbox me where u got piston rings to rebuild your rb26 and single plate clutch options. Jpan piston rings are on back order and only UK has but the price is +- 3.5k jus for rings. Sorry once again.
