Cooling wont be close as effective as when mounted infront.

Heat soak will kill it after a few strong runs....

yup bad idea. Just make your pipes as short as possible and as straight as possible...

that intercooler doesnt look that much bigger than a std rb25 unit and the piping only only looks a litlle shoter than std. for that setup to work well ull probably need to take out headlight and have a duct in the bonnet.
if u had a greddy style intake, a longer Front mount intercooler some decent piping and ull get a much better flow, without having to loose a headlight and cut holes in a bonnet. yes u will need some under bonnet cutting but thats all hidden away.my 5c

I have an interesting and very effective intercooler setup for you guys to check out, keep an eye on my build thread.
It is now officially tried and tested with excellent results!

Well fan or no fan - still bad - if not vented from the bonnet with a nice seal around the front and the vent it is still going to suck hot air from the engine bay through the cooler - remember a fan blowing hot air is a heater. Would rather circulate water from and external tank through it and make a charge cooler. Then again you are also powering a fan which makes the alternator work harder... mmmm just can't see this being a good idea at all.
