So, its been ages since I've updated this project! But my sx finally seems to be running relatively well. I've been though many troubles including rebuilding the motor and finding a new box after my first fat boy box got destroyed. Had some massive wiring and tuning issues as well and eventually elected to keep it simple and go with a Dicktator...

So, she is finally alive!!! I'm still shaking her down and finding the more minor problems. She seems to be running strong for now.

Here is a video from a little while ago when she was first running:

Was awesome to finally see your car on track! .. BMW's were breaking all over ( even toyota powered ones .. lol ) but the Nissan's held up.

Yeah was great to be out again on track in the sx! It was a pity about the bad miss fire that I suffered through the whole day but it was good to shakedown the car. It handled really well and when it was putting down power it was a handful... and when it was missing it was lame :)

I have some good GoPro vids, I'l try get them up to Youtube soon.

Here is a GoPro video of my last run on the time attack course. The sx was miss firing badly but it was still fun :domo:

Update: Still struggling with the miss fire :( This weekend I cleaned and insulated the coilpacks and added fuel to the map but can't get it right.

I'm getting break down when coming into boost at around 0.5bar and mid-low rpm. If I can push through that patch then it boosts fine and hauls but just can't figure out what is causing it to break down. Anyone got any ideas? Next up is maybe looking at the throttle pump enrichment. I really need to get a a/r gauge in there...

Some pics of the work:

Bonus question: on those bracket that hold the coilpacks I noticed that only 2 out of the 4 bolt holes were actually tapped for each coil. The other 2 holes are smooth. Anyone ever heard of that?

Yes the other bolts screw into the head thats why you have short screws and long screws

I don't think that's is right, there aren't holes in the head for that. Just the gap for the spark plugs.
