I haven't updated this thread in a while.

Few things I have done to the sx.

-Middle box removed (still running original exhaust)
-Koenic springs installed
-Retuned at JVS : 168kw 298Nm at the fly. (0.9 bar)
-I had a double din and reverse camera for a while. Since getting a new daily the sx is only driven on weekends, double din sold and sound is in the daily.
-440cc injectors has been installed

Next on the list would be coil overs or whatever Rieks sell to me :P

Switched phones and lost couple pictures of the progress.

you cant measure flywheel kw unless the motor gets pulled and is put on a engine dyno if your car was on rollers its wheel kw

I want to actually speak to a dyno guy and ask how it's calculated, because when we went to a skyline dyno day to another dyno the owner claimed his dyno one of the only dyno in Cape town that measures true wheel kw and the rest are flywheel. And on the dyno I made 169kw and 303nm, t28 1 bar with full exhaust and fmic, Matthew still running t25 and standard intercooler and basically standard exhaust stil, and we've run on the road together and on the strip and my car does pull away from his so there definitely is a power difference I pulled away from him quite a bit in the past as I should due to more mods, I know dyno figures vary but can't be so close if his dyno was wheel kw?, I duno, I havnt dyno'd my car on any other dyno yet, there's aways been this debate on flywheel kw or wheel kw on dynos haha and I'm no expert on it but would like to know

Most dyno's has a function to convert RW to FW.

Most dyno's convert to flywheel power since it looks more impressive - especially if you have a lekker 20% correction factor in as well. Then it is easy to make 200kW on stock injectors and turbo.....

As long the motor is running optimally.

Colijn made 169kw on auto mc dyno, another ca18det made 165kw by automc and 180kw by zeeline.

There various factors to take into account, read below some differences.

http://www.speedhunters.com/2015/05/kno ... explained/
Everyone loves power figures and when it comes to dyno sheets, the bigger the better. There will always be a steady stream of keyboard warriors stroking their ego on various forums by posting up their latest dyno sheet, and next comes the inevitable battle about which dyno reads high or low, and how does that compare to ‘X’ brand of dyno. The reality is that every brand of dyno will produce a different reading.
The dyno should be considered as a comparative tool only. Personally, I don’t care if a dyno reads in killowatts, horsepower or mega-ponies. What I’m interested in is how much power I had when I started and what I ended up with when I was finished. This is the true value of a dyno from a tuner’s perspective and trying to compare numbers between different dynos is pointless. This also means when you are developing or modifying your car, you always want to do your testing on the same dyno.
