Nirvash - Type Zero - S13

Post by nirvash »

hi everyone
so i feel its time to start my build thread as things are beginning to happen with my car,
the plan is to build a weekend/track/drift toy as that it what the car was bought for, i have a daily runner as well atm,
have got some parts that i have been collecting over a while to go on the car, but more about that later...

the car is also planned to be a practical learning experience for my self, as i want to learn how to do as much as i possibly can my self on the car, as well as wanting to learn as much about the car as possible,

i want to try and take pictures of every little thing i do on the car, and i do mean everything, as much as possible to try and document the whole cars process/development, and as a reference
so please bear with me

the car needs some work and this is going to be a long build, but on a good note it still starts and runs every time, and everything that needs changing is something i would like to change anyway

so the car is a 1991 model (it says first reg in 1992 but it doesnt have the sunroof so i think its a 91) rs13 200sx with 145000 kms on the clock (who knows if thats really it)
it has a crazy green paint job...not a big fan..
17inch lenso wheels - 225 tyres
5 stud hubs i think from an s14
some will spot the e36 m3 side skirts..wtf
some steering wheel that must go asap
some not so nice bucket seats
windows tinted

on the engine side
CA18DET
63mm exhaust starting from the downpipe
filter
small adequately sized fmic
bov
dicktator wasted spark ems
battery relocated to boot

here are some pics from when i bought the car:

I can see the potential.

 do you only life off eggs???
There are three easy ways of losing money - racing is the quickest, women the most pleasant, and owning an SX the most certain.

hi,

@drillergy, ya the colour is alright, but looks way worse in person,i'd like to at some point paint in a colour similar to your avatar,
plan motor wise - sr20det, hopefully getting drifts/brendans old sr20 when his new one goes in, more on that as it progresses,
steering wheel already has replacement, will post just now

@SonofAnarchy, thanks, like said steering wheel gone

@thanks :) and yes, my neighbors hate me on all sides

and yes if you see in the background i live of wine and eggs, like said, anything to have more money for parts :)

so ya, the plan now is removing the CA18DET, selling it, and cleaning up the whole engine bay, basically taking everything out to respray it,
interior has been stripped from behind the front seats back, plan is to fit a roll cage somewhere down the line, and didn't really need the back seats etc, just need to remove sound deadening now
then fit sr20 and other stuffs,
still collecting parts along the way, got my eye's on the engine atm

i got some interior things, and bits, that needed to be changed a while ago but am not putting on the car yet as everything is going to be coming of the car atm

here are some of the interior bits,

blox racing gear knob
Image

proper+ adapter for gear knob
Image

Dif drift spin turn knob
Image

NRG pedals
Image

NRG steering wheel - 350mm - 3" dish
Image

NRG steering hub
Image

NRG V3.0 quick release
Image

giving NRG parts a try, fair price, mixed reviews, but also this build is on a certain budget..

also other bits, my headlights are super crap, soo.. changing them to purple ones which will probably look alright but be crap

halo automotive HID kit - purple
Image

and my water expansion tank is also under par so,

circuit sports coolant tank
Image

will take proper pics of the parts and post

Love the garage / office / man cave ha ha.

And the SX's colour is mental, we need more Bright SX's .. why go boring grey!?

Your wheels are cool aswell.. just need some more stance.. maybe 10 / 15mm spacers or something?

thanks :)

@driftz, thanks, alot goes on in that cave
i agree, would be nice to see more bright coloured sx's, i really like the blue on SonofAnarchy's car, but im only gona have money to paint the car once really, and even that is going to be far down the line, i would like to go for a: just lighter then gunmetal grey exterior, crisp white engine bay, purple valve cover, polished with purple accents on the engine, white interior, purple roll cage, maybe black, something like that... [smilie=200sx_2guns.gif]

ya, the wheels dont look bad, maybe just sprayed a different colour and some 15-20mm spacers, would like to get a nice set and keep these to mess up..

Dude!!! Looking good!

I'm keeping an eye on this one! Like the colour too. And good idea about the engine bay. had a similar idea in mind with my setup initially.
