Body kits S13 S14 "group buy!"

Post by DriftZ »

One of the Scooby guys in Durban .. "Chen" has a blanket import business, importing from China and Taiwan. He brings in alot of stuff for the Scooby okes and the prices are really great. im talking R4600 for a complete complete body kit.. this includes Bumpers, skirts and Wider Rear Quarter fenders and vented front quarter fenders.. heck some of the kits even come with Splitters. The reason they are cheap is .. well they come from Taiwan and China.. copykat capitals of the world.. suits me.. and anyone else looking for more than fairly priced bodykits right now. he can even bring in S13.5 & S14.5 conversion kits.. but im not 100% sure how much those are.. i think between 10 and 12 k.

Only problem is.. the parts get shipped in in containers.. so it can take some time for "our ship to arrive", he can crate it over quicker but then the cost goes up as the taxes are heavier.. i think 30% or something added to the cost.

the reason im trying to organize this Group buy is.. becuase he is making so little mark up on the parts he is only willing to do 5 kits at a time .. or more.

i have 2 maybe 3 people wanting kits already.. anyone else keen? he will need deposits... But please be aware that im not being held responsible for this deal.. im merely initiating it! i will aid comunications if need be etc.. but im not liable for anything something were to go wrong as i will be taking the same risk as you :!: ( sorry just had to put that out there ) i can give you his number or if you in Durbz we can go together to meet him to discuss details. he has an S13, and will join the forum after he finishes his widebody Scooby Gt project.

s14 Fullbody kit R:4600
s14 tailights R:3300

I would be keen if I wasn't plowing all my money into the RB...

I can vouch for the ou tho. I've met him at a subaru meet. He has a silver S13 and the subaru guys reckon they get everything though him.

parts are in Taiwan ... unless you have really long fingers you not gonna touch them. Sorry :)

As for track record.. ive met him a few times and he's a very genuine guy .. but still, becuase im putting money down aswell, i did some background homework, and it seems no-one has had issues when dealing with him.. im still scratching though... but he seems very reliable. Only thing is you just have to realize these are copy kits not originals and.. that it will take 2 - 3 months shipping.. unless everyone agress to pay a bit more and have it crated quicker. But we can decide that once we have the required order numbers.

As for the quality, i test fitted some of the pieces from Chens own s13 kit he imported from the same place, everything lined up nicely. RBSX convinced Chen to sell him that kit including rear under car diffuser, he paid R5000 + - for that FULL KIT ! ... so this means Chen will be ordering another kit for himself along with us, but this time we will be ordering from another factory, apparently the quality will be even than the kit RBSX now has.

+1 for S13, but what other kits for the S13 are there, is there one like RBSX's available?
