C-TEQ now open

Post by mario_200sx »

Hi Guys,

I’ve opened my own shop in Cape Town.

C-TEQ has been opened to service Cape Town with engine carbon cleaning on all direct injection engines and all diesels. We use a proven method of crushed walnut shell blasting. We have special design equipment for this process. All gaskets are replaced with 100% factory OEM gaskets.

Why do you need to do carbon cleaning on direct injection vehicles and diesels?

Due to modern motor vehicle regulations, vapours from the crankcase are circulated back into the intake system. This is to ensure than no oil "mist" or "droplets" escapes into the atmosphere. With traditional port injection engines you would have steady flow of fuel passing over the valves that keep them clean.

However with direct injection vehicles and diesel (as they are direct injection) there is now fuel passing over the intake valves. This causes that the oil "mist" or "droplets" bake onto the warm intake valves and port.

This causes a number of issues:
Bad fuel consumption
Poor performance
Engine error codes
Even engine failure

See below pictures of an Audi 2.0 TFSI with 95 000km on the clock.

On client feedback his fuel consumption has improved from 10.5L/100km to 8.0L/100km. We have also seen gains of 10kw and 10nm of torque in power. This service pays for itself in fuel saving alone.

Process: Intake manifold is disassembled from the head so that the intake ports are exposed. Each inlet tract is individually done by ensuring the valves on the specific inlet are in a closed position. We then use our blaster to clean the inlet and intake valves. We specifically use walnut shell media as it is non-aggressive and do not damage soft metals at all. Once the system is clean and all intake tracts are done the intake is assembled again. Engine is started and checked for any error codes with our diagnostic tools.

This is a same day service. Bring your car in the morning and drive it home the afternoon.

We can be contacted on sales@c-teq.co.za

We are temporarily based in Bellville while our workshop is being shop fitted in Montague Gardens.

Some pics of carbon cleaning we have done. As some of you know, the direct injection vehicles suffer badly from carbon build up.

Very busy week last week!

A few of the jobs we did last week.......
- Audi RS4 in for service and carbon clean
- Audi A5 2.0T carbon clean
- Audi A4 DTM in for maintanance work
- Peugeot 207 GT carbon clean
- Peogeot 307 carbon clean
- Peogeot 308 CC carbon clean

Thanks to all of those for the support given the last 12 months.

This month was our official 1 year anniversary. We couldnt have asked for a better first year.

The support from everyone was amazing. It has truely been a dream come true for me and Armandt. Small start-up businesses are hard work and many hours, blood, sweat and tears go into them, but its worth it all.

What do we have planned for the second year? Many new things!

We are hoping to get the carbon fiber work in full swing, we have started with our very own induction systems (should be doing first tests soon), our own downpipe range is in development and we having something rather big we will reveal in the beginning of next year. We have so many things lined up, so keep your eyes on our secton and dont miss out.

Once again, a big thank you to all our clients to date! Please if there is any ideas, comments from your side, just give us a shout...

Mario & Armandt

We did a carbon fiber refurb on a Audi DTM front splitter. It came out amazing and looks better than new.
Those with carbon products that needs some attention, pop us a mail.

Hi Mario,

Just an idea, could you make badges with the 3D printer ? there a huge demand for Nissan badges as it hard to come by. The oval Nissan badge, Nissan lettering badge, 200sti/200gxi badges etc.

All the best with the shop and can't wait for the new products.

Hi Mario. Congrats on the new shop. I need a few things made from glass fibre for R32 Gtr.
Bumper vents left and right

Side spats

Looking at having it made in glass fibre as i would like to have it colour coded

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in one pretty and well-preserved piece...but to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, worn out, and defiantly shouting "wow, what a ride."

Hey Skippy. The R33 vent are more straight than angled. Check out my first pic. R32 N1 vents are 3 times the price. Lol. Just want to cut and pluck vas. Thank you for looking out for it though
