yip, not going to argue.
The guys at the track that don't use it run bearings often.
(but on the track it is different, we rev very high all the time)

My previous motor I did not use prolong, and I ran bearings. Since I used prolong all is fine.

Prolong won't put their product out there if it does harm to your motor.

With what Daniel says, it can happen if you don't service your vehicle as required...Some people service only every 50K km's then you will pic up problems.

But as I said, u must decide what is best for your application, taking everything into consideration.

I would go with RioL if I were you guys.
Had a look as to get it into the country, but works out a bit expensive with the exchange rate at the moment

Any oil will sludge if you don't replace it regularly, from my point of view, if you run your engine hard, prolong will help.

I believe the recommended service interval is every 5000km. Thats when I do a oil change in any case, if its not a track car doing it every month seems a little excessive. Can't hurt though I suppose.

True true but was thinking every second month because ca18det has a reputation of bearing knock so rather spend a R360 every second month an save the motor, sorry if the price of the oil wrong hope you guys dont gun me down lol

you never know what will happen in a track... bottle of prolong cost like R150 for big one... that like buying insurance for your motor~! you can even drain the oil and start the car... the motor would still be fine!

What is interresting is that a bottle of Roil will be about the same price as Prolong
