Your HG, can blow even if the system is full of water. If the temp goes too high, it blows. Maybe in your case, there was enough water in the system, to give you a reading. Test the temp sensor manually. When car is warmed up, switch on ignition, (don't start...just so dash boad lights are on) then ...

Because your tempreture gauge works off the water tempreture, if there is no water the gauge cant work. If you have the standard IC & piping, you don't need to remove the bumper.
Just piece of plastic cover under the IC, which is part of the under fender trimmings.

If you have some sort of fancy frontmount IC.....then er.....goodluck.

Yeah. I went i saw the red one already. Needs work. The motor seems fine except for a strange metaly rattle in the engine, that gets louder as you rev it. Comes from the intake side...no idea. Cosmeticaly it looks good, except for the back bumper, gear lever & boot covers. Oh yes the window butt...

I was a bit sad. Looking at those SX's & bruno doing the drift thing......Made me realize how much I miss mine.
