Re: 300zx Made in Japan

Hey Charl, was wondering what your thoughts are on this...I know you run dual wide band afr guages and my question is do you think it is an over kill?
My feeling is it is not as you are able to monitor both banks but many disagree and say its a waste.
This also goes to anyone else as well....thanks

So yesterday I filled the motor with oil and diconnected the cas and cranked the motor a few times to get some oil circulated. Was going to see if the old chip in the ecu (for ...

Hi Charl, not going to change colour, only painting to remove some visable scratches, the rest of the bay paintwork is still good. The waste gate outlet is od 38mm. the exhaust compressor outlet is od 50mm and the merged outlet od is 63mm, hope this helps. If you going to make up a set rather make u...

Re: 300zx Made in Japan

Did not get much done today due to visitors and my lazy ass. Got the motor off the engine stand and on to a support stand hanging on the block and tackle. Fitted the new support bush in the crank and got the dust cover, fly wheel, clutch and pressure plate on. http://i1296.photobucket.com/albums/ag1...

Re: Project See Why.

Hi Charl, thats great, I am contemplating a one piece however when I went from auto to manual I had to shorten my 2 piece shaft and it was balanced at the same time. Not too happy about the centre bearing on it as it was replaced by the previous owner but not OEM. Its also a pain to remove the shaft...

Re: Project See Why.

Hi Charl, lucky you only have one more thing to do.
Are you running the 2 piece prop shaft or have you gone 1 piece?

300zx Made in Japan

Hi guys, here is my auto 300 zx TT rebuild which I started in 2009 to date. My friend had tasked a "reputable JHB tuner/builder" to do a fully forged bottom end and after getting the car back for some time and developing issues he dropped the sump and to his shock and dismay after paying t...

Re: NISTUNE Tuners in JHB

Thanks for the offer Charl....I ordered a Innovate AFR kit and was wondering what your thoughts are on this...replacing the stock O2 sensors and fitting 2 wideband O2 sensors, powering them both as normal and having a switch to switch the output sensor wire from left bank to right bank using the one...

Re: NISTUNE Tuners in JHB

Ok....How do you find tuning nistune? do you tune it yourself? do you need a degree in computer science to understand and use it? I prefer the plug in type management systems like nistune and Haltech......I have done a bit of tuning on Gotech on VW's in the past and was able to get the car running w...
