Re: Project C - Also not 56k friendly!

Wow, over 5 years since last post, and 11 years since this thread was started! Time flies  So here's an update on my car since the last post: - The "misfire and overheating" turned out to be a blown head gasket. Replaced this with the help of SonOfAnarchyZA. Lots of drama in between -...

Re: Breaky run to Tarlton for dragwars.

It was 5 if you count the car on the drag strip, and the other red one that joined us :-) Still a long way from our actual record of 14 SX's that went down to Harties many years ago, but even 3 SX's is a lot of fun! It's been way too long since I joined an event, and I had a blast! Awesome to catch ...

Re: 200sx s13

Yep, car running nice now, apart from the blasted oil leak, but I think I'm gonna have that sorted out soon too. Big thanks to Jason for helping source some parts and help me fix it up. All of the problems turned out to be minor, so the guys who passed up the car really lost out! I've also upgraded ...

Re: 200sx s13

Hey guys, yea I was going to post myself but I'd prefer for potential buyers to deal with someone more active on the forum. Plus SonOfAnarchy ZA knows the car - he helped me with replacement of valve stem seals, head gasket, etc. Car is running well with some minor issues listed above. I'm hoping to...

Re: WANTED: Mobile mechanic

Wife and I are well, thanks :) Thanks for the tips - if I can get replacement parts, I'll do it. The timing belt is practically brand new - has only seen about 10000km, should I still change it? I've had issues with the tensioner before, so I'll try to get a replacement.

WANTED: Mobile mechanic

Hi I've tried several mobile mechanics, but *none* of them pitched up at my house at the agreed-upon time :( It blows my mind that these guys are so unprofessional - they don't want my money. So anyway, is there anyone here experienced with working on the SX (CA18DET) who is willing to help me remov...

Re: Project C - Also not 56k friendly!

Another 2 years since my last post! Quick update: - I still used the car daily for the last 2+ years. That's 4 years of reliable motoring! - I removed the short-shifter. The original shifter is actually nicer - no noise and smooth shifting. - The boost leak turned out to be a blown exhaust manifold ...
