Thanks for that BK... very close to the truth, if I may add...

I've owned the car since 2007 and started on the project then already... I bought the car with some of the cash from my late mother's estate, so there's obviously that emotional attachment I have to the car.

It's been with me through my divorce and has put a smile on my face when life was really kak at times... There was a time when I was unemployed for 8 months and I still managed to hold onto it. It stood in the basement of my old office for over 2 years. I changed the oil and filters and it started first time...

My daughter absolutely loves the car and she has already "claimed" it as hers. She's even given it a name... There is no better feeling when you arrive at school with the SX to pick up your daughter and she's as excited to see the car as much as you are to be driving it and sharing that same passion for the car.

The only reason why I contemplated selling it was because of new beginings and the oppurtunity of buying a really unique house which is actually registered as a heritage building, at the time. I needed a few bob to increase my deposit for the bond and sorts to be approved.

I managed to raise the cash without selling that car at the end of the day, so now I am able to keep her and give her the love and attention she deserves...besides, it'll be the only one in SA with a full Type-X kit... The car now permanently lives at one of my storage units where I pop past time and again to start her up and drive her for a few kilo's, till I move into my new place with a garage where I can strip her down for complete restoration to for former glory...

I thiink a Build Thread is needed for this one... It wont be at awesome as Project Greenstone and Dark Knight, but I think it will be in a league of it's own...

@BK - Your definition of maintenance and mine, is completely different. When I saw that massive new radiator in your build thread, all I could hear in my head was that song of Jack Parow:"... Jy dink jys cooler as ekke..." LOL

quick update for you guys... OEM JDM rear bumper, OEM floor mats (as per Dark Knight's) and OEM wind deflectors (aka windshields on A-pillar) arriving withing the next few weeks...

Great spec list. Just complete it man. It will be a one of a kind SX in SA. Even if it takes long to complete. Build it for one of your lighties or something.
