Updates,
Busy working on fitting body kit,
Then my biggest concern is now finally dealt with.
I had fitted electronic oil pressure guages with gimics like oil pressure warning lights and buzzers. all sounded so cool
What a crack a shit
Reverted back to a mechanical oil pressure guage for acuracy.
Becouse I am running a dry sump system, i have an external pump.
So if the belt breaks and or pump siezes or any other reason that would cause a loss of oil pressure.
With my current system i would never know as while driving im too busy to look at guages.
So to ensure reliablity and make sure that this motor lasts i fitted a adjustable pressure switch. N/0 from 1-10 bar
And i connected it through the ECU Power supply.
So when i hit the desired pressure in this case 1.5 Bar, the switch opens and power to ECU is cut.
System works great and will def give me piece of mind now while driving.
Also been working on getting cooler air through the engine bay. After 2 laps the car gets HOT ...I MEAN HOT
So raised bonnet
Increase cool air supply.
next steps is to relocate the oil cooler as i belive it is blocking air to radiator.
Test at rock tomorrow and check temps atc.
FInally also dialed in the suspension now acuratly and properly so keen to see how it responds.

Ahh a man who is awake!
No i dont. I fitted a bypass toggle switch to bypass the manometric pressure switch.
So when i start the bitch, and the pressure comes up. i flip the toggle and the fail safe activates.
Happy days

G, I would not shut down the ecu in this case.
I would rather go for the ignition ignitor but if I remember correctly you do not have an integrated ignitor to disable.
Then I would go for the positive side injector feed.
Too much can go wrong with shutting the full ecu i.m.o. I would be concerned about an ecu failure.
Come collect them bud, in my office cupboard at the mo..

updates,
Last wednesday was total disaster at the track in terms of practice.
In the short time i did drive im well impressed with the cooling changes. The car is running much more efficiantly now and 5 degrees cooler.
Still some duckting i want to put in place which Barry recomends. That should get the temps right down
Some new goodies to test this wednesday at track.
Big thanks to Barry, you are the man.
Brembo rear calipers with Subaru Wrx sti disks. Also added a new spacer on the back for 20mm wider track. In search of more rear grip
New stance and offset

Hey man, whats your alignment at the back? Is everything square? That could be a big thing in traction as well
Power is nothing without control,
Control is not fun without power.
Traction is over rated.
