Suspension Options
Been wondering about suspension options as this is the next planned thing for the car (will start saving up once i've settled my bill with The Calibrator )
Now there are various options out there
* D2
* K-Sport - exact same stuff as D2 just branded differently as K-Sport in the US
* Stance - GR+ What i'm currently looking at, rated better than K-Sport http://www.stance-usa.com/
* Tein - Flex / Super Drift
* Tanabe - Got a new affordable Sustec Pro 5 looks good, would love to have a pair of Sustec Pro 7's
* Silkroad
* Megan Racing
* Cusco
* JIC
* Nex
* Kei Office - My first choice - but very expensive
* Buddy Club
* Apexi
* HKS Hipermax D
* Greddy
* GAB
* D-Max
* MF-R

i dig those white springs on the D-max, but thats obviously not a deciding factor.
1. costs are all important
2. servicing is also important. what is available in SA i.t.o. servicing. isnt it D2 (rezlo) and Tein (jerry)?

basically those are your options on servicing...
But when I was looking into the Stance ones, guys haven't complained about blown shocks only when they were developing the stuff, unlike D2 and K-Sport who has regular blow outs (I'm just mentioning what I've read on nicoclub.com)
So yeah I'll rather put in a $100 or two into a thing if I know it will last

I use D2! I am a dealer for them in SA along with Rezlo! I'll be honest - difficult to setup but once there, the car is awesome and damn strong. Obviously Tein is a good choice but I still think its cheaper for me to run on D2's and have the extended cover than run on almost twice the price Tein's!Vlade wrote:basically those are your options on servicing...

Most of those suspensions are good options, problem is, being here in SA what you need is to find one that can get serviced and parts are pretty easy to get your hands on....I got Type HE Tein coilovers, which i have just now replaced with Superdrift and EDFC....anything is available, price is relative to all the others....with D2, they tend to give real shit apparently....dont buy cheap, just buy once

Sold teh HE's to a buddy here....Got 8k for them... I know everyone has there ideas on suspension, but the bottom line is, anything for drifting is better than stock....even cutting the springs.......When i changed to the HE's, it was night and day....entry speeds change, angle and traction
