Exhaust Systems

Post by VoodooMaster »

What is the perfect specs for a exhaust system? I am currently still running with a standard system so I can start with planning for a new one. I know the Turbo Golf's run 76mm, so what would be perfect for the SX.
(AND YES I SAID THE WORD GOLF ON A NISSAN FORUM.)

If you are planning to run A BIGGER TURBO later, go for the 76mm, if you are planning to go on with the standerd turbo 63mm is the recommended size, I am running 63mm s/s free flow with only 1 box at the back, sounds good and helps for some horses.

hey Fsnijman

Don't let me fly to Centurion to put my 20inches in your exhaust pipe.

I am just concerned about the sound of the car. I don't want my car sounding like a Datsun at the end of the day.

I think I'll try the 63mm cause I ain't going bigger on the turbo. Can't go boosting 2bar and pushing out 250kw trying to drift that car. That is a recipe for disaster.

I have a 63mm stainless steel system with one back box. The sound is good & the performance better.
But the car has to be chipped to take advantage of the system.
Trust me I now. Since I have removed my boxes & left only one the car burns very rich & runs like a donkey.
