Yes, the way car feels on the road is the way it is tuned. If the tune is kak and done at 1000rpm increments and 0.5bar intervals you cannot expect it to be smooth. You can see if the car will drive smooth by looking at the timing and fuel maps.

Post a pic of your map, let's have a look. I'll post mine tomorrow.

I think there is a tuning thread somewhere.

Hi guys, sorry I'm at hom not having internet, made a plan to get everything to the phone and then post it, the fueling map does not look to bad in my opinion, the timing map does not look good in my opinion.

I think he did an ok job, but with an ecu like wolf 3D and it's capabilities, I don't think he did it justice, R1200 because it's not the normal ecu around and takes longer to tune....but he took an hour and a half as if it was a dictator or whatever. I'm not totally unhappy, I just ask myself, was it worth R1200?

Here is pics of parts of the maps.

Personally I don't think the power or power curve is bad at all, specially from a ca... Time wise, a dicktator is normally tuned in an hour, so half an hour for fumbling his way around I don't think it's bad either... I would though specify the type of running I want before it even starts, that way of its not too my liking I take it back and it must be sorted out... But ye I agree, every 1000rpm is a bit lose for a car that's being tuned for so much power... A bit dangerous in my opinion... But it is still impressive power...

And this was built from a working map.

I have now figured out why I am not impressed with the car, if I give it stick from the beginning, meaning from 1st gear and keep on pushing through all the gears, it fucks off...I'm impressed.

When I am not impressed is when I was cruising in lets say 3rd or 4th and then start pressing, it takes long to pull, you really have to put the pedal to the metal, so there is a lot to work on there, at least I know if I'm in a race, from 1st she will put up a good fight.

Derek, the impressive part of a turbo engine is the transition from n/a to boost.
Incorrect timing can make an engine real crap to drive while the correct timing here will put a serious smile on your face. Don't be scared to chase timing up to say 0.5 bar boost.Obviously check it out carefully but you will not believe what it can do to the driving experience.

Thanks BK, it is something I have to do, there is parts where my afr jumps to 17 on very light loads, there is some work to be done on my fuel and timing map, the problem is to get someone to drive while I do that, for some reason my afr gauge and the ecu does not record the same afr amounts, so my data logging does not help me much.

Made myself some det cans, now I can tweak the timing and fuel a bit

Hey Man,

Nice job on the det cans. Let me know how well that pipe works pls, as I'm about to make myself one
and was wondering what pipe to get. Was thinking compressor air lines, but that pipe would probably
be cheaper.

Thanks,

Hey man, worked well, I advanced my timing on top with 4 deg and could clearly hear detonation, it's just a bit of a bitch to drive with, on a dyno it will work great because you don't need to worry about traffic, indicators turning and so forth.
