It should still be better then worn bushes rattling the whole time.phoenix s14 wrote:Are you sure you want to fit one of these kits? your suspension apparently goes terribly harsh... Anyone have experience with one of these kits? I have a set for my S14 but I am not sure if I want to fit it due to that...

Can you just confirm the partnumber of the kit, and is it the full bushing kit? Is it available in either black or red? I'd prefer the black if possible.
Application: Nissan 240SX 1989-1994 (S13)

Ride is *much* firmer, but that might also be because i had a worn shock at the rear. However, I can say that while handling has improved immensely (I can now chuck the car into corners with confidence), the ride quality has suffered a lot - it is hard and you can feel every bump, even on the concrete highway. The springy seats help dampen that a lot, but there are more rattles in the car. Still, it beats driving around with torn bushes. Turning circle has almost halved!! I'm totally caught out by how it seems to "oversteer" now - it's really strange.
To be honest, I don't understand how bushes can make such a difference, since they aren't like shocks that have plenty of travel. Also, it's not like the new bushes are hard - they are called "hyper flex" and they harp on about how it can flex more than the original bushes (which means they are softer??) without loosing their shape.
Overall my verdict is that it's a drastic improvement. I might take my car to Zwartkops and try to prove this with lap times at some point in future.

measured with my g-meter, my lateral G's (cornering) went from 0.86g to 1.03g from installing these bushes. going over a G is a big benchmark that a lot of people aim at.
these bushes will do wonders for your handling at the very very small cost of a little extra NVH.
toby - the slightest unnecessary change in suspension geomoetry will greatly affect the way the car handles (feels). remember that a small change in a single bush (due to old worn bushes) can equal a large change in wheel (and therefore tire) orientation, because of the distance of the wheel away from the bush itself!
think of shooting a rifle. the smallest change at the barrel will mean a huge change at the target a couple of hundred meters away!
black bushes squeak less than red ones because of the graphite impregnated into the bush, which gives it a black colur!
