Good Evening Guys...

To get the SX up and running, I decided to buy the stock turbo off MW's SR20VET.

I did a little home work on the turbo and its basically the same unit of the S15.

It's basically a GT2560R, It has a ball bearing cartridge and the 9 blade GT Turbine wheel.

My current turbo is a Journal bearing Turbo running a GT2860RS Compressor wheel but still uses the stock T28 12 Blade Turbine wheel.

I would like to swap over the GT2860RS Compressor wheel but doing so would require the whole cartridge to be re-balanced.

I have calculated the follow numbers and got the below plot on the GT2560R compressor map.

Update:
=======

Good Morning Guys and Girls.

The new turbo is in and the SX is running and pulling strong, I turned the boost down from 1.4 to 0.8 on the boost controller.

I’m loving this turbo, boost transition is smooth and she pulls all the way to 8000RPM with no drop off.

I also closed up my open air screamer pipe, This really stabilized the AFR’s but the can needs a tune as she is very rich in boost (10.5), I would also like to get a bit more low down torque out the car between 1000 Rpm – 3000RPm when the turbo starts the spool-up make the car feel like a big NA.

I also found another issue that needs to be sorted out, Seems my BOV has packed up and doesn’t open this probably helped in killing my last turbo.

I would like to say Thank you to Derm for the replacement Turbo.

Next toys for the SX are a set of nice mags , will throw a couple of ideas the clubs way. 4\114 PCD rims that are nice are hard to find

Morning Dude, I dont understand why I would go to all the cost just for 5 lug?

Drove the SX to work today, Bamn boost is addictive but the tune needs allot of work

Hi Guys

I gave the SX a nice tune on Tuesday and gave here a few hard runs on the highway, She’s pulling strong but I just can’t believe how hot the filter gets under the bonnet so, I’m going to fork out for a BMC DIA for the SX.

Thinking, I should fit the Blox filter to the wife’s GWM Florid
