Meet And Greet in Durban, 18th December 2006
So who's from Durban, then? I have Gary57, Deens, and Nght_RideA. Anyone else from Durban? Anyone going to be in Durban next week?
I'd like to organise a meet & greet in Durban, so that I can meet our Durban members and their cars. The plan is as follows:
- Meet at Suncoast Casino entrance at 11am on Monday, 18th December 2006
- We can pick a spot to have lunch and chat
Who's in? Could the interested parties please PM me their cell number so I can contact you?

A Sad Tale
Hi Guys, Thanks for the invite. My Car is broken at the moment. I gave it to a guy in Pinetown to re-wire the SMT 6 piggy-back chip. He couldn't do it completely sucessfully after fiddling for a week. He then decided to leave it as it was before, but wanted to set it up to the best he could. He took it for a spin, blew one of the water hoses, overheated the engine and blew the head gasket... I have since towed the car back home and started stripping it to see what's inside. I would like to join you guys for maybe a few drinks. I live on the Bluff so I could give Widowmaker a ride since he has no car. I have my wifes car at my disposal.

Hey Guys! I'm back from Durban
The event in Durbs was really awesome. I'd like to thank all the guys that attended: Gary, Deens, Preshan, and Widowmaker. Along with friends and family, there were eight of us at the event.
We met up at Suncoast casino at about 6pm. I had some t-shirts made for each SX owner attendee. We went to a coffee shop/bar where Walter treated us to some rounds of drinks - thanks Walter! We all had a great time chatting to each other. We nominated Gary as the Durban SX club representative. Deens provided some action when he managed to get himself stuck in a lift Fortunately that was short-lived and after he'd got out, he invited us all to his place at the Bluff for supper. We all accepted
So, at about 8:30pm, we all drove in tow (dinner-run) first to my flat to drop off family, then off to the Bluff. Gary had the only running SX, but it was fun nevertheless.
The rest of the evening and well into the night, we spent chatting at Deen's place, finished off a bottle of whiskey (thanks Deens!), checked out his work-in-progress SX engine rebuild, had a wonderful meal prepared by his wife, and chatted some more!
It was great to meet all of you Durban guys! Hope you guys keep in touch and meet up whenever possible. Hopefully we can all meet up again for the A1 Grand Prix.
