Update: Car doesnt wanna run with stock ECU!! Wiring is just one massive F*ck-up!

It over fuels then runs lean then miss-fires! Blowing massive flames...... then it runs great but when you boot it and it hits 5500rpm it starts breaking off!

I had it! I give up!

Going aftermarket on Monday! Decided to use diktator! Only thing I can afford and I did my research, there are plenty of SX owners running this and they all run strong with no problems!

It was the last thing I thought I would install, but now I dont have a choice!

Piece of advice, when doing a swop with stock ECU. Make sure you have the COMPLETE loom. And Im talking about all of it! And make sure its is not cut at any places! Must me plug in and plug out! No cutting of wires!

Wish me luck!

Not a bad system for outright power, but fuel economy is a bit tricky with limited load sites, but a good tune on the road can sort that out. No complaints.

with the rotary beetle we got a 13bt with a wiring harness and stock ecu.

wired everything in and it started. it ran around the block and was awesome, but then it would stutter and fart and backfire and not boost and all sorts of shit...

we spent two weeks on the wiring, two weeks, every night, going over every wire from one side to another, along with the wiring diagrams, a circuit tester, everything.

on the 14th night we found that one of the 12v wires had been cut and swapped with a ground wire. and the join was under a lot of sheathing and other kak. so it was a white wire in and a black and white wire out.

once we swapped them back - car runs fine!!! what a bitch that was, and it was an "uncut" harness.

good luck dude!

Yeah, Im gonna need that luck! Luckily Im not worried about fuel economy!

My car will become a a full drift car by the end of the year, there is no point! That is if my sponsorship pulls through!

Otherwise I might just look for a complete loom in the meantime! Doubt I will find that somewhere!

Right, got my car back on Friday! And its all going well!

100km on the clock! The cold start is still a little bit of a problem!

Car needs to be tuned, but Im breakin in the motor before I do that. Rev limit is set at 5000 rpm! Faheem says Ive got too much of a heavy foot! And throttle is set at 70%! So I dont feel the full potential yet!

However, I can feel the more I drive the more its getting alive! With all the restrictions in place it feels like the same power than my CA18!

Will load some pics and videos soon! 8)
