you should not be breaking a motor in rather running it in. and no that would not be the reason you ran bearings.

Use mineral oil

Correct, mineral oil is used for break in procedure.

Change every 250km. Lots of literature online with regards to engine break in procedures.

Looks like the oil filter is all blocked up and stuff so let's see if could have the problem Eishhhh
