Hi guys i need help i recently rebuilt my .ca18det however she's running bearing within 2days of build the

And now and again the oil light is coming on

Could this be low oil pressure that's why she's running bearings like this

Blocked oil filter? Or a blockage on the block its self

It could be a few things, bad oil pump(did you replace it), blockage in block(did you clean all the oil paths with petrol and air), blockage in oil squirters, maybe even the head gasket turned around so it blocks the flow of oil, blockages in head, wrong bearing sizes, blocked oil pickup, wrong torque on bearing caps...

How much oil did you fill?

if u rebuild a ca18 you always replace the oil pump! its a unwritten law.

If I'm not mistaken torque spec on the caps is 40 to 44Nm oil squirters are clean

oil return not blocked?

id suggest getting a oil pressure gauge and seeing what the oil pressure is on. have you run bearings again?

Standard crank

The crank might be standard but the block has 3 codes of what standard is, if for instance you used a crank from another block the clearances may differ, not hugely but none the less, if your crank and block are not the same originally, I'd suggest take it to a reputable engineer with the new set of bearings so they can measure everything.

The other thing to look at if everything else looks right is the balancing of your crank, flywheel, clutch and pressure plate, it may be that the balance is off and it might "ride" the specific bearing. Are you sure your crank is straight?

Draco don't you think it be better if i take the block and crank and have them check the size and clearance
