Flatbed Filter

Post by drift-zn »

Will it be worthwhile or a waste of money to fit a aftermarket flatbed air filter such as BMC or K&N into a stock air box?

Servicing my car this weekend, and unsure if I should fit a Nissan or aftermarket filter.

Dont think its a waste. K&N can be used for a very long time. If you like the OEM look then do it and your car will breathe better, minus the heatsoat experienced by cone filters.

Can also mod the airbox for more air.

i still say its a waist of money if the price is similar to a oem filter the ja fine but on a stock setup you wont see any noticeable gains the stock filter has enough flow for lower boost applications in my opinion
