Friends, Romans, Gentlemen Tuners, lend me your ears!

Post by widowmaker »

howdee, fiddled with the SX and found that it jumped two teeth on the cambelt. Fixed it, and it is a lot smoother now, but...

give a listen to the vid, two sounds are muffing me.

the "krrrr" in the eccs when I apply juice
the airbox puffs/growls (at least it doesn;t WOOF like it used to)

ideas pending please...

That was after I opened 'er up. My back and legs are still killing me, so don't wanna do it again soon...
Maybe they snuck in behind my back

Any help here people? Quick revving is a no-no, but I can get the revs up slowly, but then it doesn't run for long after I drop the revs again. What is that clicking sound in the eccs or thereabouts? It is rather loud and on my PC it is obvious, but my wife's laptop you can barely hear either sound.

Hey Man,

This is my first post here.

Just my idea of what it can be...maybe the krrrr your hearing is spark jumping. When you held the camera by the air box, it sounded
like its got a miss. Take your coil packs out and make sure they in good condition with no cracks anywhere.

Does the frequency of the krrrr increase as the rpm rises?

Hope this helps
