offset and width advice please.
Hi guys, well im going to be buying some Volk Rays replicas (i know reps are not recommended but il be cruising in these wheels and will fit stock wheels to have fun on the track etc) anyways, i need to make a special order with them so i can get the ones to best fit my S13, im going to be going 17" as its more practical on tyres on arches etc.
- What offset should i go for front and rear?
- What width should i go for front and rear?
I wont be fitting a wide body kit anytime soon and my car at the moment is just 40mm dropped while i save for coil overs, i dont mind flaring arches if i have to in future but i want the best looking setup possible with these wheels.
What do you guys recommend? ive done alot of research online but most of the guys overseas go 18" at the rear and 17" infront but they can as pricing is alot better overseas, thats outta my budget.
heres some pics of the exact wheels i will be ordering:
17" 5x114 9j (didnt ask offset) but full set was identical widt and offset
15" 4x100 8j (not sure of offset)
I was thinking 9j at rear and 8.5j infront? but i have no idea of offsets, any info would be great thanks!

Hi I just fit a set of 10j at the rear and 7j In frond and you need too fit a spacer at the rear so I think you must go for n set of 8, 5j at the rear.
Re: offset and width advice please.
hey man, well thats why offset is so important. because the right offset will determine whether you need a space or not to clear the arch or inside wheel well, i see alot of guys fit 9J at rear with +12 offset and that seems to clear well, even in the front it clears if i look on those pics and settings on the rim tuck website, plus 8.5j on the rear maybe more practical its not going to give the effect i want.
Can you post some pics or your setup victor?

Re: offset and width advice please.
Thanks for the links daniel, yip ive checked those sites really helped alot, but im still not sure what to go for haha. Should i go 9J all round and +12 offset all round with no spacers? that seems quite popular on rimtuck with the volk reps i want. but really hard to decide, and i have to secure order soon as it can take 21 days to arrive and they need order before next shipment is confirmed.
Plus its alot of money to spend for me so want to make the right choice

9j +12 is a bit mexican
9j +20 ish is perfect
also use front and rear 9 j as wheel look changes when having 8j

+ 1
on the front 20ET is the winner anything more and you will rub against coil over and need spacers to fix. Anything more is fine if you use a thinner wheel .... like 8j. So ja.. 20ET with 9j .. with 225.40's
Rear you have a lot more room to play but id suggest getting the same specs as your fronts.. then you can rotate easier.

Re: offset and width advice please.
Im running 17x9j et30 all round on my S13. Had to run a 5mm spacer in the front to just make the inside gap between the wheel and shock
safe (was 3mm, now 8mm with 5mm spacer).
They fit perfectly and am very happy with my choice.
Pics speak louder than words...
