Bolt-In Cages
Hi Guys,
We here at C-TEQ is starting with our performance part range.
Im just checking here with the 200SX crew if there would be some interest for some Bolt-In cages.
Why Bolt-In? Im sure there is allot of people that want to ensure that some mods can be reversed and dont feel like ripping heir whole car apart and have to re-paint after welding has been done.
This kit will obviously be done to the highest of quality with proper chassis mounting ect.
Here is a few examples option we are looking at doing.....
Street Roll Bar: Race Roll Bar: Full Race Cage: So between these options you can find a option that works for your car's purpose.......
Full Race Bolt-In cage pricing we are looking at R5000 - R5500, but we are still busy with final pricing.
To give you a idea, a WELD-in cage is roughly R4000, depending on who does it. Bolt-In kit is extra labour and has more hardware.
If you have any questions you can email me, PM or just post on this thread....

Re: Bolt-In Cages
We are running through as many different disciplines of racing as possible and looking at all of their safety regulations.
We will try and be eligible for as many possible that will allow a bolt-in cage eg. Supa Drift and certain Drag classes.....

We are looking at MIG welding (as that will be within regulations) but TIG is being on the list of option we are looking at.Drillergy wrote:Chromoly or mild steel?

Doubt there will be a Chromoly option as Chromoly is being worked out due to multiple reasons.
Thickness is not set in stone yet, but most regulations require 45 OD & 3mm thick with CDS. 10mm bolts with minimum of ISO 8.8 rating with minimum of 120mm x 120mm 3mm thick base plates.
Full Bolt-In cages will be according to MSA & FIA regulations.

Re: Bolt-In Cages
Sweet man would like to see the first set! With our old cars and lack of tech and safety features and the speeds we do even the entry level one is a must have.

I fully agree!Drillergy wrote:Sweet man would like to see the first set! With our old cars and lack of tech and safety features and the speeds we do even the entry level one is a must have.
Ive been in the racing scene for many years and come from a long line of family race car drivers and when I go to track days ect I sometimes get very nervous for some guys. Doing insane lap times with no safety system in place. Even with very mediocre times I did with my S2000 on track I felt very unsafe.
So I would say this is a must in any car that will see some track time or very "spirited after hour event".....

Re: Bolt-In Cages
would the full face bolt in cage dodge the dash or will the dash have to be cut? I would be interested asap in one of those..

Re: Bolt-In Cages
Both options will be made avail. MSA regulation do not allow it to curve at dash point, however we will have that avail as a option.Rawkus16v wrote:would the full face bolt in cage dodge the dash or will the dash have to be cut? I would be interested asap in one of those..

Any S14 owners interested in a cage? We are in need of a S14 for mock-up.

Teazer pic of the "STREET" (dash dodger) cage:
We have made a few changes, A-pillars being changed to mandrel bends and a few tweaks. Powder coating next week.
