After market Fuel pressure regulator to CA

Post by Twakkie »

Has anyone fitted a aftermarket fuel pressure regulator to a std CA fuel rail? How does it work, I assume it doesn't just fit on. Also how do you take the standard one off!! Mine sits like a MF!! Its got two little Phillip bolts holding it and there is no space to get a screwdriver in there, is it better to remove the fuel rail?

You don't really need to remove the old one. You just put the new one in line after the std one.

Jip, you will not be able to go lower then the std fpr's pressure but you can go higher.

sweet!! so how does the control vacuum setup then work if you have two FPR's? Does both receive a vacuum pipe? (just put a T on the existing one)

You can put in a T or just remove the vacuum pipe from the std fpr and use it for the new one.
