Wow.....I wish I had the money to play with my Z like that......
I am pretty sure you know but just in case.....I fount 650cc side feed injectors, brand new Serd ones at R1300 per injector and they are availible in Joberg....if he still has it, I am sure he does....
I wanted it but don't have the cash....
I found a damduiker way to upgrade my 370cc to about 450cc, it changes the spray pattern, was scared of that but untill now can not say it is messing up and there is no concrete info on the net that suggests it is a bad spray pattern, I mistakenly did it with only 1 injector and I am on the verge of doing thet mistake to all the injectors
Nice injector upgrade with no costs.....

Please don’t tell me you’re re-drilling or changing pintel needle travel length. I don’t recommend this at all if you need to boost your injector slightly bump the fuel pressure or buy bigger. Re-drilling and changing the pintel length does effect the atomization of the fuel the same way increase your fuel pressure does past around 4/5 bar

I tried to download a pic to f*cktupbucket but it's f*ckt up again......
it is as simple as taking the senter pin forcing the spray pattern off, it restricts the injector to force the spray pattern, if you hold the injector horizontal and take pliers, hold the plier vertical and press the pin side ways it brakes off inside the injector, the point of the pin comes out removing the restriction, more fuel comes out, I tested it, the injector sprays much more fuel in a stady streamy pattern, I am guessing on the amout it sprays more but it might be close to 50% more.
The spray patter turns to the far right, they call it the "lucas disc" pattern, all they say about the spray pattern is that it is not good for fuel economy and best for high flow needs....which is the point....

As I said, it is a damduiker way, many might not approve and most propably will not approve, I have tested the result per minute, not measuring the cc's but the amount.....and checking the spray pattern...
here is another example off the net, it changes to a more streamy tipe pattern, like they show here..."good" it is no more a misty spray coming out....

I have checked the net a few times because I was worried when this happend by mistake and could be bad coz the injector is screwed, all I could find is that the broken pintle increases flow rate and changes the pattern, there is many opinions on the net about what pattern is the best, till now some say more misty others say more streamy....
All I can say is the operation of the injector is still the same, it opens and closes the way it should, the only diffs is the spray pattern and the flow rate increasing....
I have not done this with all the injectors, so if you PFB or any one else can give me a solid fact based proven answer why this is bad, please let me know.....
