the best thing about that power, rieckert, is that the curve is opposite to normal. all the torque at no revs, but no power at high revs.

hmmm... actually that probably means you'll wheel spin hectically at about 400rpm, and you wont be able to maintain speed at higher revs.

they'll have to do something about making an electric motor that can keep its power up the rev range? or make the lowest ratio gears the first ones?

or perhaps something else that i havent thought through properly yet?

well not necessarily... electric motors does not have to rev high to get awesome speed.... you'll just have like a 99 speed gearbox :shock: :wink: :wink:

I like this a lot!! Something that I've been thinking about, 'cos I plan to keep my car for a long time, probably even after petrol engines are banned from public roads...
