WANTED: S14 Gearbox

Post by Alphat »

I'm looking for a gearbox to replace the one in my S14 as it is getting pretty ragged.
5-speed, RWD for SR20DET engine.
Anyone got one in good condition that's lying around waiting to be turned into cash?

Or a good place to get a low mileage import one (at a good price of course) ...

I have a 180DET gearbox which as far as I know is identical in ratios etc as the SR20 box, only difference is the bellhousing.

Thanks Sidewinder and Gary57.
In the mean time i stripped my old gearbox and found it to be in pretty good shape, except for the main drive gear and counter drive gear. So if I can just get replacements for these I will use my old box.
Any recommendations for where to get these? The main drive gear is 66mm OD and has 22 teeth. The counter drive gear is 88.5mm OD and has 31 teeth.
