I gave my custom cluster to a very good friend of mine, in return he gave me his stock cluster and surround... After a good clean it looks like brand spanking new... So shimmery....

I think I will be more content with the stock cluster, I'll just spice it up a bit with a two stage LED lighting system... I'm thinking to start the cluster lighting of with white or blue ultra brights, then will make it turn red when my SX hits the limiter or something... That way I can keep the stock look and still be a bit diffident....

Shot brother... Ye I loved the first cluster I made.. It was epic but I just want a slight twist on the original now, as nice as the first one was, I don't think I would ever have been happy with it...

I'm also living the stance now, makes the entire car look wider and not so long...

Pulled the cluster apart today and started scrapping the colour of the stock warning light mask...

Image
Took a bit of time but now they all shine through white and are ready for the Red LED's... I have decided to make the pictures shine blue though to match the clock which has a blue filter stuck over the back anyway...

Image
The control arms were a little faded so decided they need a little tlc...

Image
Put everything back and all looking brand new...

Image
The clusters wiring at the back is pretty simple, 2 separate circuits controlling normal illumination and the other controlling the warning lights, all the warning lights having a common positive on the bottom... This is important to know so that you know which way to wire up the LED's.

Image
The first ultra bright LED wired up with an 820ohm resistor to aid with some extra brightness... Just hope it will be bright enough as I am using 3mm LED's for the warning lights. I will be using 5mm for illumination though.

Tomorrow I should hopefully finish up the rest of the warning led's

have you put something in front of the led to disperse the light? if you put it in like that its going to have bright spots. i would suggest going and buying the smd bulb replacement i found that works the best

Low and behold, Some more progress happened this weekend...

So I took some items to VDM again to have customised so that they will work in my new setup... Shane's epic skills at hand again...
Image

Wastegate adaptor done, as the mountings are well in the way
Image

Wastegate done, running nicely parallel and under the exhaust...
Image

Radiator water outlet on the bottom tiled upwards so that radiator fits with out blocking the outlet...
Image

With the top of the rad, instead of building new tanks, a bleeder nope was done at the highest point to eradicate airlock...
We also decided to put mounting onto the Radiator and IC to make mounting alot easier...
Image

The exhaust made last time also had to be modified to fit the new manifold
Image

As soon as I take pics of the complete boost pipes and installed setup I will update further...
