So that explained my slight panic driving back from a quick trip to Cape Gate side to get some Nandos haha. We limped home slowly but surely. Now its time to replace and fix.
I am super lucky to always have my dad on my side not only when it comes to the car and life choices but also as my car buddy who is always there when something small or big is wrong...his words are always "right park die kar. Ons maak more reg!" I remember racing a friend one night and I decided to pull out the vacuum pipe I was sure i killed something in the motor or banged the turbo...I came home at 3 am. I didn't even stop yet and he was outside with a cigarette laughing and said to me "Ja, lekker kak an gevang ne. Ons sal more kyk" Turned out i just burnt a plug.

Got these parts and a few other about mid 2019 and until this day i never made time to fit any of the stuff. I really want to get a gt2871 or 76r but got this turbo only to find out that i really want a gt28 more

Finally, I order the window motor. I checked many options and many sites to find the right window motor but there was always a problem and just decided to go OEM and get the part that is original. Yeah might be a bit of a stiff price but I know it will fit 100% and i can send it back if it's not the correct fitment or anything. Was a relief to turn down the window and hit the drive through again

After many different options and long searching. I decided to go with this wheel and color. The reasons was simple it looks good and has always been a nice fit on the s14. I might change it in the near future but for now, I am loving the look with the soft blue color. Nothing too hectic or so. [smilie=200sx_2guns.gif]

Joined the Breakfast Run to Worcester Mall was a nice drive. I had some new friends joining the run and had a first time experience on the SA Torque Breakfast Run they enjoyed it and so did I.

Took on the mountain again with a different type of drive. Just cruising to Du Toits kloof lodge with friends during festive times was really great. Really nice route with great views.

Thanks man. I will always be interested in the Forum for me its much better than groups or social media. Here you can learn, read and have decent conversations. Whatsapp gets tooo crowded and tooo busy way tooo quick. Proper questions gets ignored and crap gets entertained.
Plus here is where it all started for me so i will always be a forum person. Lots of good information and good leanings on here.
You really should its always nice to see what the guys are up to. I really took the time to post and to just have decent activity on it instead of it dying out. Always a nice reference when someone is interested in the car to just share a link and they can ready or just view pics on there own time.

Once this lockdown thing is over I am really looking forward to doing some upgrades and slight changes.

Question: Any reason why the VCT is not kicking in ? There is very very low power or the car is very lazy in the low RPMs. I tried to clean the MAF sensor, checked the wiring, checked the ECU also all the pipe are solid. But still its lazy from the low revs only once boost is loaded it moves nice.
Any suggestion on more testing or solutions. The car also has this really annoying miss once it idles. Wil idle fine and then every 6 or 9 seconds it will miss. Its very clear in the idle it just stops.

Check the plug on the front sensor next to the gear. think it has a yellow plug. looks like a long 7ish cm metal tube.

Maybe clean your idle control valve?

thanks man I will do so this weekend and hopefully it will work. I have been trying to get the cars performance back to where it was but this is the major problem.

Checked the plug and checked the sensor. There is also power on the sensor but still no VCT. Okay next I think I am going to clean the MAF sensor again. Then check for boost leak. I notice the pipe on the intake has had its days too. Doesn't look good.

I might be crazy but I want the car to pull like it use to before fitting the new parts. Then I know i am not mislead by the new parts and think the car is better. Then it still has this "lag" problem.
New Parts:
Front mount cooler
Boost pipes or intercooler pipes
The bigger Turbo I wanted to sell
Wastegate 44mm
UniChip Q+ for now
Then...
Deciding on which -top mount manifold design to go with
-Downpipe
76mm Exhaust -maybe 101 or 110 outlet.

Any suggestion where to find a good manifold ?

Thinking of where the wastegate should be positioned ? Towards the back, side or front. I have seen it many place. Would like to know where it works best.
