Midas here in Cape Town told me they didnt have any shocks on their system for 200sx S13, R2850 a very good price for a full set. if possible could you take some pics of the box's and part numbers so i can show my local Midas? Because i will be needing new shocks soon and im not too keen on coilovers. What about shock mountings? did they have a listing for shock mounts for you or are you re-using your original mounts?

Thanks

Part Numbers for S13 shocks are:
Left Front: 331005
Right Front: 331003
Back: 341099

Mounting Kit Numbers:
Front: SM5101
Back: SM5123

Supplier is all KYB. They are located in Boksburg JHB. www.kyb.co.za If you do a search for S13 etc. you'll find the exact details above.

In future I'm going to try and buy from them directly using Midas as a middleman is very annoying... always say I'll call you when its here but they never do. Maybe you can give this a try and have time freight pick them up for you.

Hope this helps.

Minor updates:

It was a good news, bad news thing again or should I say good news, spend money news :D

New shocks are awesome and I'm not driving a low-rider anymore yay! Bad news was when I wanted to swap the rear and front tyres I noticed on the inside of the 1 good tyre it made a bubble :x Luckily I saw it cause tyres going pop at high speeds is not fun!! With only 1 good tyre left I opted to buy a new set.

Some pics for people who like em peeeechas:

Ok, so the daily needed some TLC..... 8)

Me and my brother tackled it with the same kit we used on the Focus (Photography thread). I took a lot of pics, just for the hell of it and looking at them now you can really see the difference!

The only difference is that this week the Elbow grease came in KWV 3 year old bottles...

Re: Project : Daily S14 SOLD

Post by fuzz123 »

A bit of sad news... This car is sold.

I enjoyed her immensely over the last 2 years with minimal problems. This thread never got a lot of posts because there has been no real problems :)

I believe the new owner will take good care of her as he seemed to be a very hands on guy when it comes to taking care of his cars.

This will now force me to put time and effort into the other S14 to get her back on the road.
