Help with RB26 stuttering issue

Post by Seanj »

Occasionally (but happening more and more), my R33 will just lose all power, not Rev past 2000 rpm, not respond to throttle, and sometimes not even idle.

The TPS has been suggested. Anybody have advice on how to diagnose, and where to find replacement?

Thanks

If it stutters - try giving it a good scare. This is recommended by 8 out of 10 health professionals.

Check for fault codes, much better than randomly diagnosing things.

Airflow meter? If still on... Unplug and rev to see if any change...

Seems to be AFM. When I unplug them the car does exactly this (limp mode I guess). A
Going to try and solder in case of dry joints. Anybody have some AFMs I could borrow to try?

Try cleaning it first before opening. Sometimes they just get a little dirty.

Opened the AFMs. Soldered connections. Sorted.
