Oil flow mods

Post by ClasS13st »

Hi guys!

I'm busy rebuilding my CA18DET at the moment and while the sump is off I wanna baffle it.

I believe I'm supposed to mig weld some plates around the oil pick up in the sump.
Anybody have any pics or drawings of this mod on a CA sump?

Also I've read that the CA's tend to keep the oil higher up in the engine/cylinder head which may starve the bottom end or the pick up??
Apparently modifying the breather under the inlet helps with that. Has anybody heard of this mod and how it's done?
I'd really appreciate some intructions/pics/advice!
