that should have been done with the first rebuild as well as balancing. every clearance should have been checked then the bearings matched accordingly

Yes, that would be better, with bearing caps and all.

I do not understand your question about the difference between the 8 and 4 port head?

There are plenty differences to the two heads, the exhaust side of the head is the same, the intake is different, on the 8 port(jap import) it is as Sonofaberrie said, there are also secondary butterflies that needs to be attended to, which the 4 port does not have.

No of fence but why not take the whole engine to a reputable engine builder and let them sort it out for you? Whom ever built this and it lasted 2 days doesn't know what they doing...

Gary is the CA guru. In anycase, if your bearings are done, you gonna have to send if to the engineers. Atleast let them build your long block.

cut open your oil filter. Check oil pick up isn't blocked. dents on your sump. Too late to check oil pressure with spun bearings.

Oh! and the first thing you do with an SX is get an oil pressure guage.

Guys i Had so much of shit with eng from messing up bores to over skimming heads and right now I'm frustrated
