RB30 block and R25/26 head build

Post by R31skylineguy »

Has anyone done this conversion in SA or have information on it? I've been reading up a lot on it on the skylinesaustralia.com forum. They have a whole section on RB30 conversions which is very interesting but I'm wondering if anyone has experience building one here

Wynand has done a couple of them a couple of years ago. He is on here every now and then.

I built 2, works very well, just a few mods. Have a complete motor available, RB30 sub with RB26 head.

RB25SX what would you be asking for the motor setup?

Was going to continue with this build but opted not to. Hence my delay... Thanks rb25sx, I was interested but I'd rather go 2jz for that priced lol. Although it is a rather interesting motor you've got setup there. I see you are based in somerset west, I'm durbanville side if you perhaps want to get in touch

You are forgetting the little part about the RB30DET dropping straight in vs having to change a crap load of stuff, including the exhaust routing to get the 2JZ in.

Haha yeah I am aware of the straight drop in although I'm not so concerned about the change in motor setup. I've done a 1jz conversion in a s13 so I'm sure I can do another in my r31 :D
