Re: s14 starter motor (sr20det)

If you don't get one, I suggest taking it to a starter place to be rebuilt.
If you in Pretoria I recommend these guys: http://www.caelex.co.za/contact-us/

Re: motor and gearbox fitment help

Yea the clutch should be properly aligned or you will have issues, get a straight broom stick as suggested or get an alignment tool, you cant just guess the allignment.

Re: motor and gearbox fitment help

allign it as best you can, make sure that the shaft is in the hole  Then use 2 gearbox bolts, and tighten opposite each other slowly and it will pull the two together, make sure its not skew and there should not be a lot of resistance, too much resistance, then something is not aligned... but...

Re: Seriously interesting fuel pump test.

Very informative, but then you must also remember each pump has a different l/h rating, so looking at it that way it's not really a surprise the walbro flows less?
Wouldn't Getting pumps with the same flow rate from the different manufacturers be a more ideal test?

I don't mind them. Maybe a bit soft so wears out quicker and brake dust but doesn't fade. Great for track use.

Re: brakes

Re: Clutch issue (Pedal Delay)

Sounds like something is getting stuck. Does the pedal and hydrolic system push in and out all the way? If one of the piston rods get stuck inside one of the cylinders (master or slave) it will not pop back out all the way. This has happened to me before where the replacement piston was slightly too...

Re: Cometic HG

spray some copper gasket sealer on both sides of your metal head gasket before putting it on and there is a lot less chance of a leak.
